Giving Thanks To Our Veterans
On November 10th, 2003, in celebration of Veterans Day, the entire Hartney Greymont company descended upon the Veterans Administration Hospital West Roxbury campus.
We planted several new trees and pruned and fertilized many existing mature shade trees to help preserve and protect them for the future. Approximately $30,000 in labor, equipment, and materials were donated to improve the beauty and safety of the grounds. Robert Sullivan, Director of Grounds, was very enthusiastic and appreciative, “Hartney Greymont did a great job and we will be reaping the benefits of their work for years to come.” According to Mr. Sullivan, “the Hartney Greymont arborists and crews saw a lot of things the layman would never notice and they knew exactly how to take care of them. We were very happy to get their offer and ever happier when we saw the quality of work they were doing.”
Hartney Greymont has a history of giving back to the communities in which we live and serve. It was an honor for each of us to participate in this latest effort, to show our appreciation for those who have sacrificed for our country.
